Caterpillar Class
Scoil Bhríde is committed to providing a caring and inclusive learning environment for all pupils. We were delighted to see the opening of an Early Intervention ASD class in September 2022.
Our Caterpillar Class accommodates children between the ages 3-5 years with a diagnosis of ASD.
Early intervention classes follow the mainstream Infant Day.
The pupil : teacher ratio in our Caterpillar Class is 6:1 with two SNAs also caring for the children’s needs. Your child will be supported collectively class teacher and the special needs assistants.
Our class aims to:
- Facilitate optimum inclusion as part of the whole school community.
- Value the individuality of each child.
- Provide a structures, calm and predictable environment for its pupils.
- Form partnerships with parents and multi-disciplinary teams.
