This week the children have been enjoying the much-loved story What the Ladybird Heard. Inspired by the book, we explored the tale in lots of creative ways. In music, the children made their own farmyard sounds, in drama they acted out the different animals and characters, and in art we made ladybirds! Even in maths, the ladybird helped us count, sort and solve farm-themed problems!
Our learning linked beautifully with our autumn theme of harvest and life on the farm. The children had a wonderful time discovering how stories can connect across subjects – with lots of laughter and creativity along the way.
